Desktop / Project Board: Personal boards alongside the chat

The new Desktop mode adds an infinite canvas for personal project boards alongside the chat view. A mode toggle in the header lets users switch between chat and desktop. Board content from the chat – images, audio, video, documents and messages – can be pinned directly to the canvas.

Canvas and projects

Every project gets its own board with an infinite canvas, navigable via pan and zoom. Projects are created, renamed, deleted and sorted by drag and drop in the sidebar.

Board elements and interactions

Ten object types are available on the canvas: assistant reference, conversation reference, file reference, image embed, audio embed, video embed, note, frame, badge and ghost card. Elements can be freely positioned and resized.

Pin-to-Desktop and inline player

All tool cards (image, audio, video, infographic, document) and assistant text messages in the chat have a Desktop button that pins the asset as a reference to the active canvas. Audio and video cards on the canvas are playable directly as HTML5 players.

Summary

The project canvas gives users a structured workspace for chat results: content from conversations is collected, linked and organised on personal boards – as a permanent companion to the chat workflow.

Podcast Studio: Create podcast episodes directly in Skillbox

The Podcast Studio is a new feature module in Skillbox for complete podcast production – from script to finished MP3. The studio editor combines AI voices, uploaded audio, music and sound effects in a segment-based workflow. CoffeeFM handles the audio mix as a podcast-as-a-service engine in the background.

Studio editor and segment types

The segment-based editor supports five types: voice segment (TTS), audio upload, sound effect, music and pause. Segments can be reordered by drag and drop and duplicated with a single click. An inline player lets you preview each segment directly in the editor.

ElevenLabs TTS and AI audio

34 AI voices from ElevenLabs are available for voice segments. Sound effects and music are generated via free-text prompt through the ElevenLabs API.

Audio mix, effects and library

CoffeeFM mixes all segments into a finished episode via FFmpeg. Each segment supports fade in, fade out and crossfade. A background layer with volume mixer places music under speech; LUFS normalisation ensures consistent loudness. The audio library manages jingles, intros, outros, music and SFX with upload, categorisation and preview.

Pronunciation rules and microphone recording

The Pronunciation tab lets you define word-to-alias rules so the TTS engine pronounces names and technical terms correctly. Rules are automatically synced with the ElevenLabs Pronunciation Dictionary.

Project management

Projects are persisted and can be resumed at any time; the finished episode is available as an MP3 download.

Microsoft 365: OneDrive, Outlook and calendar in the chat

Microsoft 365 is now integrated directly into Skillbox: assistants can pull files from OneDrive, read and reply to email, and create calendar appointments – all from the chat, without switching context.

OneDrive and documents

Assistants search OneDrive directly in the chat and can extract content from Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF – without manual upload. Text is prepared automatically for RAG-ready processing.

Email integration

Outlook mailboxes are available in the chat: read, summarise and reply to email, compose new messages – including attachment extraction as plain text.

Calendar and appointments

Create appointments, check availability and read calendar entries – directly via chat, without switching applications.

Summary

With Microsoft 365 integration, Skillbox becomes the central workspace for teams that work with OneDrive, Outlook and the calendar every day – all information and tools, one interface.

MCP server and webhook gateway: Skillbox as an integration platform

Skillbox opens up to external systems: via a dedicated MCP server, Claude Desktop, Copilot Studio and other clients can use Skillbox assistants directly as tools. For simpler integrations, a webhook gateway connects Jira, n8n, Make, Zapier and WhatsApp without protocol expertise.

All Skillbox skills are available as MCP tools for external MCP clients. Claude Desktop, Copilot Studio and compatible applications can call Skillbox assistants directly.

Webhook gateway

A single endpoint connects Skillbox to common automation platforms: Jira Automation, n8n, Make, Zapier and Twilio/WhatsApp send simple HTTP requests – no MCP protocol knowledge required.

Summary

The MCP server and webhook gateway make Skillbox an integration platform: existing workflows, external AI clients and automation tools can use the full Skillbox feature set – without rebuilding your infrastructure.

Skill system v2: native tool calling for every assistant

The skill system was rebuilt from the ground up: skills now run on a unified TypeScript handler stack with native LLM tool calling – more reliable, faster, with structured display formats for every result type.

AgentV2 with native tool calling

Instead of text-based parsing, AgentV2 now uses native function calling from the model APIs – compatible with OpenAI, Anthropic and all Chat Completions interfaces. Tools are invoked more precisely and errors occur less often.

11 structured tool cards

Skill results are shown in 11 specialised tool cards: images, videos, documents, email, calendar entries, comparisons and more each have their own optimised display format in the chat.

Enterprise connectors: SharePoint and Haiilo

Two new connectors link Skillbox to core enterprise platforms: SharePoint for document management and Haiilo for the social intranet. Assistants can now access company content directly – without manual data transfer.

SharePoint connector

Assistants search SharePoint sites, list files and read documents directly – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF and HTML are converted to Markdown automatically. Clickable deep links lead straight to the original file in SharePoint.

Haiilo connector

The Haiilo social intranet is connected via the Enterprise Search API: users, blog posts, wiki pages, timeline posts, workspaces and events are searchable directly in the chat. All results include deep links to the original content.

Summary

SharePoint and Haiilo bring enterprise knowledge into the chat – assistants now work with the content teams use every day, without manual sync or data exports.

Content tools: PowerPoint, infographics and display banners

Three new tools for content production directly in the chat: the PowerPoint generator creates presentations from your own templates, the infographic generator builds professional infographics with tenant branding, and the Google Ads banner generator produces display banners in all standard formats.

PowerPoint generator

Upload your own .pptx or .potx templates; the system detects layouts and placeholders automatically. Users describe the desired presentation in chat – the model plans structure and content and generates a PPTX with corporate design, including speaker notes.

Infographic generator

Over 230 templates in 8 categories – lists, processes, comparisons, charts, mind maps and more. Colours, fonts and styling are set via tenant configuration; the finished PNG appears directly in the chat.

Google Ads banner generator

Responsive display banners in five standard formats directly from the chat – with tenant branding and instant download. No external design workflow required.

Summary

All three tools bring content production into the assistant chat – corporate design and company templates are configured once, then users create assets on their own.

Prompt library: share team knowledge in one place

A central prompt library per tenant lets teams collect, tag and share proven prompts organisation-wide. With full-text search, tag filters, Markdown preview and role-based editing – optional per tenant.

Users create prompts with tags, description and Markdown content. Admins can edit and delete all prompts; users manage their own entries. Viewers have read-only access.

Search and filter

Full-text search across name and content, filtering by tags with frequency counts and pagination – the library stays manageable even with large collections.

Use instantly

One click copies any prompt to the clipboard – ready for immediate use in the chat. Markdown is rendered with full GFM support.

The prompt library makes a team's collected prompt knowledge visible and usable – instead of staying hidden in personal notes, it is available to every member of the tenant.

Shared conversations: real-time collaboration in the AI chat

Conversations can now be shared – with persistent rooms, real-time collaboration and a team chat for direct communication between participants. Rooms survive browser refresh and closing until explicitly left.

Persistent rooms

Shared conversations stay active until they are explicitly ended or left. Disconnect no longer closes the room – participants can return at any time, even after a browser restart.

Team chat

A collaboration panel in the chat enables real-time communication between all participants – alongside the AI conversation, without interrupting it.

Management and permissions

All active rooms are reachable via a central button. Owners can end rooms; invitees can leave. Inactive rooms close automatically after 30 minutes without participants.

Shared conversations enable real team collaboration in the AI chat – from joint research to live reviews, without external communication tools.

Charter value system: AI ethics built in

The charter value system embeds AI ethics directly in Skillbox: five core principles are injected automatically into every assistant system prompt, and each answer can optionally be checked against semantically relevant value manifestations. Activatable per tenant.

Charter echo

The value charter is injected automatically into the system prompt of all assistants – as soon as the feature is enabled for a tenant. No manual tuning of individual assistants required.

Conscience check

A downstream LLM evaluation checks each answer against semantically relevant charter manifestations. Notes appear in a transient modal – they are neither stored in chat history nor in the memory system.

Management and calibration

Principles and manifestations are managed in the admin panel. CSV import for bulk onboarding, tunable similarity threshold per principle, full audit log in the database.

Summary

The charter value system makes AI governance tangible: instead of abstract policies, values are stored as structured, semantically searchable manifestations – and checked automatically on every AI answer.

Realtime voice: speak with the assistant

Speech input and output directly in the chat: via a WebRTC connection to the OpenAI Realtime API – or Azure OpenAI Direct – full speech-to-speech conversations run in real time, including plugin use by voice command and automatic chat persistence.

Speech-to-speech in real time

A talk button in every chat opens the voice session. Voice activity detection (VAD) detects speaker changes automatically; a transcript overlay shows speaker labels and conversation status live.

Plugins by voice

All plugins – image generation, infographics, web search – can be triggered by voice command. Generated media appears as Markdown embeds directly in the chat message.

OpenAI and Azure OpenAI

Two connection modes are supported: OpenAI native (WebRTC, Realtime API) and Azure OpenAI Direct (GA WebRTC).

Summary

Realtime voice brings natural speech input and output to every Skillbox chat – with full plugin integration, automatic persistence and support for OpenAI and Azure OpenAI.

Assistant management: activation, archive and beta

Three updates around assistant management: a two-step activation model with lock, an archive for retired assistants, and a beta label for assistants in testing.

Two-factor authentication

Skillbox introduces two-factor authentication via one-time codes by email.

After password entry, a six-digit one-time code is delivered automatically by email.

Plugins, integrations and automation

Four extensions that add new capabilities to Skillbox: the internal plugin system enables backend plugins such as the web scraper; Topaz brings professional AI image processing; Mixpost connects Skillbox to social media – and the built-in scheduler makes tasks schedulable in natural language.

Internal plugin system and web scraper

Plugins now run directly in the backend, without an external sandbox. The first internal plugin is a powerful web scraper that can crawl websites fully, extract tables and prepare structured content – directly in the assistant chat.

Topaz AI image processing

The Topaz plugin brings professional image editing to the chat: upscaling, denoising, sharpening and background removal – Topaz Labs API quality, without external tools.

Social media integration with Mixpost

Skillbox is connected directly to Mixpost. Users can switch seamlessly between both platforms; Skillbox assistants are available right in the post editor.

Scheduled tasks in natural language

Tasks and plugin jobs can be scheduled directly in chat – simply in natural language: "Every day at 9 a.m." or "In two hours".

Chat organisation: search, titles, pins and groups

Four updates that fundamentally improve how you work with conversations: full-text search across all chats, automatically generated chat titles, pinning important threads and organising chats into your own groups via drag and drop.

Full-text search in chats and assistants

Content from past conversations and assistants is searchable directly in the Skillbox UI. Clicking a result opens the conversation and jumps with colour highlighting straight to the matching message.

Conversations receive a concise, AI-generated title automatically – based on the conversation content.

Pin chats

Important conversations can be pinned at the top of the sidebar and stay permanently in a dedicated area.
